2005 INA Presentation Ceremony
The 2005 Indoor Netball Australia national championships presentation
ceremony has been held and this marks the official close to this year's
tournament. INA would like to congratulate all players who were selected
in the Australian Eclipse team to tour South Africa in April 2006, the
Australian teams can be viewed from this link.

This brings to an end the
2005 National Championships. Indoor Netball Australia would like to
thank all those were involved, both on and off the court, who helped to
make this year's championships such a success. We would like to
congratulate all the champion team's, but more importantly commend each
team who participated for the extremely high level of spirit,
competitiveness and skill that has been on display all week.
The Australian Eclipse teams from each of the 4 divisions will be
announced tonight at the official INA presentation ceremony, being held
at Conrad Jupiter's Casino. Stay tuned to this website for the
announcement of the teams.
Open Mixed Grand Final
The Open Mixed grand
final between Western Australia and Victoria has just completed. INA
would like to congratulate both teams on a tremendous tournament, and
would like to announce that the 2005 Open Mixed national champions are
Western Australia for the second straight year. The open mixed division
was tightly contested all week and it was fitting to see such a great
grand final to decide the ultimate champion.
Open Ladies Grand Final
The Queensland Heat have
just taken out the 2005 Open Ladies title after defeating a gallant
South Australian outfit 42-39 in the Grand Final. This victory is
Queensland's second title at this year's national championships after
the Open Men's side defeated Victoria earlier in the day.
Open Men's Grand Final
The 2005 Open Men's grand
final has just been played between Queensland and Victoria and we have
witnessed another thrilling finish. The final result has seen Queensland
become the 2005 Open Men's champions after they overcame a spirited
Victorian fight back to win by 1 point.
Under 21's Grand Final
The 21 and under ladies grand final has just completed and INA would
like to officially congratulate WESTERN AUSTRALIA who are the 2005
national champions. The match went into over-time after the two sides
were locked at 40 all at full time, but the Western Australians were
able to hold off Queensland in the dying seconds to win the grand final
46-45.

The preliminary finals have been run and won and the 2005 Grand Final
teams have been decided. Indoor Netball Australia congratulates the

- Friday October 7 - Preliminary Finals in progress
The semi finals have just completed and the preliminary
finals have commenced. The winner of the preliminary final goes into the
grand final tomorrow.

- Thursday October 6
The second last day of
pool matches has been completed and the leading contenders are starting
to emerge. In an eventful day we have seen the South African ladies and
Under 21's side both begin to show their ability. Queensland's open
men's and open ladies side's have both made it through to this point
undefeated, whilst Western Australia's under 21's and open mixed have
also been able to make it through to Friday undefeated.
The final pool matches will be held on Friday morning, with the
semi-finals commencing at 1.30 on Friday afternoon.
- Tuesday October 4
The third day of
competition has come to close and the division's are starting to take
shape. Just a reminder that there is no fixtures on Wednesday October 5,
the competition resumes on Thursday at 8.30.

appointed as the 2005 Opens Tournament Director
- Indoor Netball Australia is pleased to announce that,
for the first time, teams from South Africa will contest in all four divisions
of this year’s national championships on the Gold Coast. The South
African teams bring with them a host of experience and skill which is
sure to boost the overall competitiveness of the tournament.
